Playgroup

Description:  Connect with other parents and caregivers of young children (Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers) at the Greensboro Children’s Museum each week for a standing playdate! Meet a Museum educator for a kick-off activity and then go exploring, playing, and learning in the Museum together

Description:  Each week, we'll meet in The Edible Schoolyard Kitchen Classroom to combine children’s literature and food. Using the story as inspiration, your kids will use fresh ingredients to create kid-friendly snacks they'll love making and eating.

Description: Finding balance in our high-speed world can be challenging for everyone – even kids.  This class series focuses on slowing down and finding the joy in making useful, everyday items from bread to candles.  Each week, we'll explore a new Homesteading topic and kids will "make and take" a project to enjoy at home.  This nature-inspired program is designed to be a fun learning experience for all skill levels.  Please note, this is a drop-off program.

Home School Discovery Day

Join homeschooling families from across the triad for a day of discovery at the Greensboro Children’s Museum. Families can explore and learn at their own pace through more than 30,000 sq ft indoor exhibits; a half-acre teaching garden; and new outdoor play plaza with climbing structures for all ages. Homeschool Discovery Day will feature a special admission rate for homeschooling families. Hands-on learning happens at GCM!

 

Cost: Pre-registration is required.
$6.00 per child ages 12 months and up.
Parent teachers are FREE. Additional adult chaperones pay the discounted rate upon arrival.
This event is non-refundable.

Mini Yogis

Description:  Creative and fun, these classes plant the seeds of yoga to stimulate imagination, maintain flexibility and develop conscious breathing. Our unique approach combines yoga poses with rhythm, literacy, games and mindfulness techniques.

Description:  Over the six-week series, your kids will learn to code using Dot and Dash robots and the Learn to Code Curriculum.  We’ll write code with loops, sequences, and events by completing new challenges each week that are designed to help kids grow their own skills while working collaboratively.
