This position works with a team of educators to deliver educational programs, field trips, fun activities, and exceptional guest experiences at the Greensboro Children’s Museum. The ideal candidate is positive, high-energy, engaging, and thrives in a lively environment. Further, this candidate should have a strong interest in early childhood development and the work of The Edible Schoolyard. This person will spend most of their time immersed in food education programming at the Museum.

2019 summer camp assistant teacher | education

The Greensboro Children’s Museum (GCM) is a nonprofit that works to serve all children through fun, interactive experiences that contribute to their growth and development. The assistant teacher will spend four or five weeks per session immersed in this unique atmosphere aiding summer camp teachers with week-long, themed day camps. GCM Camps engage kids in science, art, music, robotics, and more! There are two camp sessions:

  • First Session: June 3rd – June 28th 2019
  • Second Session: July 8th – August 9th 2019
  • An assistant teacher may elect to be considered for participation in both sessions.

The Edible Schoolyard Greensboro empowers kids and families to cultivate healthy communities through food education. Assistant teachers will spend four or five weeks immersed in this unique atmosphere assisting garden and kitchen staff to execute our summer camp’s Seed to Table Programming. There is one position available for each session:

  • First Session: June 3th – 28th
  • Second Session: July 8th – August 9th
  • Assistant teachers may also elect to participate in both sessions
