Join us for a meal of the French countryside. Cathy Monnet of Easy Cuisine will teach delicious and simple French-inspired recipes that highlight seasonality, flavor, and communal cooking. You'll roll up your sleeve and get hands-on as you prepare appetizers and desserts that are sure to please.

In this 6-week series, learners will explore local food systems as they harvest and plant in the garden, as well as build essential kitchen skills while they prepare fresh, simple recipes.

kids cooking: pumpkin spice everything (ages 8-11)

Fall is here! Let's get in the spirit of the season as ages 8-11 learn three dishes featuring pumpkins. They'll make something sweet, something savory, and a pumpkin spice drink to top it all off.

book and cook (ages 3-5)

Ages 3-5 are taking over the kitchen to combine reading and food in this 6-week series. Using stories as inspiration, learners will use fresh ingredients from the Museum's half-acre garden to create kid-friendly dishes they'll love making and eating.

Protect your immune system this season with the botanical power of our garden! We’ll discuss ways plants strengthen our defenses from foreign invaders, and learn skills for cooking a nourishing feast.

Pumpkin and Yogurt Parfaits: A Smile-Friendly Snack Workshop

November 8 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Greensboro Center for Pediatric Dentistry will lead a hands-on workshop to help parents and children learn about healthy teeth practices. You’ll build your own pumpkin and yogurt parfaits while we learn what types of foods are healthy for your teeth and body.

family cooking: thanksgiving sides (ages 3+)

Get in the attitude of gratitude in this "Everything but the Bird" cooking class. You and your little helper(s) will get hands-on as you prepare simple sides.

school’s out camp (ages 6-14)

Camp is not just for summer! Join us for an action-packed day of learning, exploration and play. Ages 6-14 will participate in structured activities led by qualified instructors. We'll cover themes from cooking to coding.

November 18 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Chocolate lovers unite! Robert Wallace, a Greensboro chocolate maker, will lead us in a tasting of chocolates from all over the world. You'll learn about the process of transforming cocoa beans into bar chocolate AND pour your very own bar to take home.
