There’s a chill in the air, but GCM is heating up! Each week this summer, our educators craft creative experiences for campers ages 4 – 14 years. GCM Camps are week-long, day camps and range in theme from mastering basic culinary skills to coding and robotics. Little Farmers in the City

Help us kick off the season by joining our urban farm crew! Each day we will explore the garden, harvesting spring crops and planting summer seeds. We will also visit the farmer’s market and host our very own market on the last day of camp. Register now!

Cuisines of the World
Week of June 24 | 11-14 years
Tap into your inner chef by learning how to make dishes from all over the globe. From Europe to Asia, we’ll cultivate an appreciation for different tastes and flavors and the cultures from which they come. We will utilize our half acre garden for ingredients and host an Around the World Tasting on our final day of camp. No prior cooking experience required. Register now!

Explore the world of chemistry in this hands-on, experiment hearty camp week. We provide the lab coats and goggles, you supply the inquisitive mind and adventurous spirit. Week of July 15 | 11-14 years
For our intermediate to advanced chefs, we’re continuing to step up our curriculum with an increased emphasis on cooking technique and utilizing seasonal produce from the garden. This week will build on previous kitchen experience and include advanced knife skills and techniques, taste pairings, lessons with guest chefs, and group challenges. A final competition will be held on the last day with local chef judges. Previous cooking experience highly recommended. Register now!

If YouTube how-to videos keep you captivated, come together with other makers for a week of DIY projects. Step up your handiwork skills and learn to make a variety of items. Enjoy an artisan showcase on the final day. Register now!
Little Garden Yogis
Week of July 22 | 4-6 years
Plant the seeds of yoga to stimulate imagination, maintain flexibility, and develop conscious breathing. This week will combine yoga poses with rhythm, literacy, games, and mindfulness techniques as well as garden activities. Families are invited to join in on the final day for a yoga sequence with the campers. Register now!
Week of July 29 | 8-11 years
Coding minds unite as we work with a variety of robots throughout the week. Collaborate with other campers to complete challenges. We will show off projects in an expo on the final day. Register now!
Art in the Garden
Week of July 29 | 6-8 years
Using nature as our inspiration, we’ll explore different artists, styles, and media. Over the week, each child will create their own piece to show on the final day’s art exhibition in the garden. Register now!

A camp devoted to being fancy like Nancy? Ooo-la-la! With this title character as our inspiration, we will devote our week to developing an aptitude for the arts by dancing, painting, cooking and crafting. Baking Boot Camp
Week of August 5 | 11-14 years
Unleash your creativity and whip up delicious culinary creations in The Edible Schoolyard Kitchen. Learn the fundamentals of baking, and explore cookies, quick breads, yeast breads, pastry, and cupcakes. We’ll open our own bakery and offer some treats for sale on the final day of camp. Summer Camps at the Greensboro Children’s Museum – 2019 Camp Terms and Conditions
The Greensboro Children’s Museum offers camp scholarship opportunities at their discretion on a first come, first serve basis. Please complete the enclosed form to be added to our scholarship waitlist. Please note scholarships are not transferable and camp preferences are not guaranteed. One camp scholarship is issued per child. The Guardian of the scholarship recipient is responsible for transportation for the week. Extended care is not available during the camp season. You will be contacted by the Camp Coordinator two weeks prior to camp commencement to complete the necessary Medical and Emergency Contact Form.
